Pensacola Beach, Florida is one of THE best Florida beaches! Located on the western part of the Florida Panhandle, it is a great alternative to the more crowded beaches of Florida's coast line.

An attraction on Santa Rosa Island is historic Fort Pickens, which is an interesting place to visit. The locals are fun-loving, and will look for any excuse to throw a party! The Crawfish Festival, Mardi Gras parade and celebrations, Fiesta of Five Flags, are a few of the regular celebrations that stir up lots of excitement!

The sand is soft and white, and you'll often find just as many locals as tourists soaking up rays on the beautiful shores.

Surfing is popular here and at it's best during the mild winter months, when the sun is often shining on cool, windy days. The kids play in the water and love build castles in the sand. It's not unusual to see adults joining in on the fun building sandcastles too. There's lots of fantastic things to do in Florida!

It's also very relaxing to take a stroll along the long stretches of sand, further down the beach.

If you're up for night time fun, hold on to your hat! Bars and restaurants along the road have delicious and fresh local seafood and exciting nightlife!

The hotels in the are fairly well-priced. The Portofino Resort has great views of the Bay and rooms just a few steps away from the water, if you really love a great beach front location.
