Orlando Theme Parks, Orlando, Florida
New Year's Fireworks @ Disney!
In 2009, right after getting married, I decided to plan a group vacation to Florida. My husband had proposed in Florida at Disney World and I wanted to go back to celebrate with him and some friends.
The 6 of us boarded our plane from Seattle in the winter and escaped to sunny Orlando, Florida! Over the 14 days, we did nothing but theme park visits! It was amazing! We were there for Christmas and New Years, and had a great time despite the crowds. We went to every Disney park, including the water parks, both Universal Studios parks, Sea World, and Busch Gardens. It was a perfect trip for us.
After going to all of the parks, we all agreed that as much as we loved Disney, Universal Studios Islands of Adventure and Busch Gardens were the stand out parks of the trip.
We loved all the thrill rides and themes of the parks. We also loved being in Epcot on New Years Eve. The fire works display was so large and magnificent that it literally blew the hat off my head, and the energy of the guests that day cannot be compared!
During our trip, each of us probably gained at least 10 pounds from eating all the delicious food in the themed restaurants. My favorites of the themed restaurants were the Coral Reef in Epcot, with its huge aquarium wall, Mythos in Islands of Adventure, with its organic cave like interior with greek mythological statues, and The Prime Time Cafe in Disney's Hollywood Studios, where they joked around with us and made us feel like family.
I loved visiting all the theme parks so much that I cannot wait to go back! Florida Vacation Ideas
