Naples Grande, Naples, Florida
A few years ago, on a Florida beach vacation in Naples Florida with my family, we stayed at the Naples Grande. We had researched it on the internet and it looked and sounded just fine. But we really weren't sure what to expect from this luxury resort in Naples, until we got there.
When we arrived at the resort, we were pleasantly surprised. The place was absolutely gorgeous! We stayed in what they call 'the bungalows', close to the tennis courts. The unit was very spacious and well laid out. We had plenty of space for a family of 4. There wasn't a full kitchen, but there was a small fridge, a microwave and coffee maker, so that was very handy.
There was a great little place for breakfast not far from the lobby that had the best coffee.
My kids loved the water slide. They played on it for hours and hours, with no sign of giving up! The pool was really neat as it had a beach style entrance at one end, where the little ones could enter the pool, without maneuvering stairs
The poolside service was great. $10 for a big delicious tropical drink, with a really exotic funky name! They were well worth it. You could also order lunch to be served pool side as well. We also rented a cabana pool-side as well, which gave a bit of privacy and shade too.
To get to the beach, there was a wooden boardwalk. The walk was about 10 minutes to the beach, or there was a free tram service available which took about 2 minutes! The resort borders what I think is Delnor Wiggins Pass, which is a nature preserve area. Free tours were available too.
The beach was beautiful and super super clean. There was a little place at the beachfront for light lunches, drinks and snacks too.
All in all, this resort lived up to our expectations in every way. We certainly plan to stay there again on our next beach vacation to Naples Grande
