The Edgewater Beach Hotel Naples. Luxurious but casual. Definitely one of the best Naples beach hotels!

The Edgewater Beach Hotel in Naples is located at 1901 Gulfshore Blvd. N., directly on the gorgeous, sugary sands of the Gulf of Mexico. It is reasonably nearby to several restaurants and shopping areas.

This is a casual and relaxed beach resort, which makes it suitable for families or couples, vacationing in Naples.

The building itself is very attractive and quite lavish, and has undergone extensive renovations. The property is beautifully landscaped, especially the pool and terrace garden area.

Check-in: Upon check-in to the Edgewater Beach Hotel Naples, I was warmly greeted, and my reservation information was quickly retrieved. I was offered an upgraded suite for the same price as my ‘booked price’, which I happily accepted. The suite was quite large, ground level (as requested), with a full kitchen and dining area, tv, large couch with bed pull-out, an extra cot (as requested), a large bedroom, bathroom and sliding door access to the garden terrace/pool area.

Hotel Prices: I found the prices fairly reasonable, within the typical price range for Naples resorts on the beach (my stays were during the month of March, peak season). I found the best prices seem to be available by calling the resort directly. Do check out the various online sites for discount rates too.

I would suggest if you call the resort directly, to ask about the 'latest special packages' available and check for seasonal rates. Rooms with views of the Gulf of Mexico are available in the tower, but at premium prices.

Hotel's Best Feature: One of the best features of the unit, was the ability to park our vehicle directly in front of our suite. Unloading and loading the car upon arrival and departure was very quick and convenient! The accessibility was a huge ‘plus’ when carrying in shopping and groceries too!

Cleanliness: The suite was spacious and very clean! Housekeeping service did a great job. They left a weather report and a list of resort activities available for the next day. There were never any problems with not enough towels or ‘ratty’ towels or the like.... and lovely chocolate bon-bons on the downy soft pillows!

The service was top-notch!

Beach Front Location: This Naples beach hotel has very convenient access to the waterfront, literally just a few steps away from the Gulf of Mexico. It was easy to change the pace from lounging pool-side with a cool drink, to playing ‘frisbee’ or ‘botchee ball’ on the warm sands, just steps away!

I could also keep an eye on my kids playing on the beach, right from the pool area!

I was also able to slip out for a long leisurely walks on the shore in the early morning. My daily destination was the Pier, just a nice walking distance! You’ll enjoy watching the ‘dolphins jump and play’ not far from shore.

The pool area has a tiki bar for drinks and light lunches. The area is extremely well-maintained and clean.

There is chair and towel service too.

It was never crowded and there were always plenty of chairs available.

Complimentary Breakfast: The Edgewater Beach Hotel Naples also offers a complimentary continental breakfast for their guests, from July to December(for exact dates, check with the hotel upon booking).
There is also a beautiful restaurant in the tower with a spectacular view of the Gulf of Mexico, if you are so inclined to dine at the resort, rather than cooking in your suite.

The Waldorf Astoria: The Edgewater Beach Hotel Naples is a ‘sister’ hotel to the Waldorf Astoria. This allows guests of the Edgewater, to utilize the pools and ‘THE BEST WATERSLIDE IN THE AREA’ at the W. Astoria! Just another option available to the guests

Overall Experience at The Edgewater: I was very happy with the 'whole experience' at the Edgewater Beach Hotel Naples. The prices were fair, the resort was luxurious and I loved the waterfront access!

This resort is well suited for families, due to it's fantastic waterfront location, excellent pool facilities, in-house dining and spacious suites with cooking facilities. It's also perfect for couples and business travelers, too.

I will definitely stay at the Edgewater Beach Hotel upon future visits to the area!
