Agonda Beach, Goa, India
Agonda Beach, Goa. India. It is difficult to select the best beach in the world! It's such a personal thing. Really, unless someone has traveled the world and seen lots of famous beaches, it's hard to give a decent opinion.
I've not traveled to every beach in the world, but however I do know what I like. I like to spend my vacations at a solitary place, to enjoy the beauty of unspoiled nature. I like a place that is not 'over-commercialized'.
I have traveled all over India and seen every beach in this country and some other famous beaches in the world. I'll still place this Goa beach, at the top of my list!
I frequently visit this unique beach to take a rest from the confusing, fast life in urban civilization and gather my mental strength. The 3 km long lonely beach shoreline is lined with palm
and casuarina trees.
I love the majestic waves, in the deep blue clear water, the white sands, the cool breeze and the excellent panoramic view! You will feel the power of nature. While strolling through the white sand dunes, you will realize the vastness & virgin beauty of this place. Being totally isolated from the mad crowds of the city, one can regain mental tranquility.
This beach is well maintained and very clean. There's no water sports or beach activities here. There's only a very few huts for accommodation. They are nicely matched with the the surroundings. Every hut has a beautiful balcony from you can see the beautiful sunrise and sunset.
You can interact with the local fishermen who still old wooden boats to catch fish. You can ride on their boats and get a thrilling experience out on the rough seas!
This beautiful area may not be what everyone is looking for when they head for the beach. But, this without any distractions, is the way a beach should be.
